A foundation for transformative impact for Black women in Scotland.
At the heart of our work lies a commitment to the lived experiences, leadership, and wellbeing of Black women in Scotland. Our values guide every decision we make, ensuring our work is both rooted in community and driven by systemic change.
Creating a fairer Scotland, where Black women have access to the same opportunities, resources, and support as others. We work to remove barriers created by racism, sexism, and socio-economic inequality.
We create platforms that uplift Black women’s voices and leadership, ensuring they are not only included but heard, respected, and resourced to lead change.
We believe that those most impacted must be at the centre of designing solutions. Our programmes are shaped by and for Black women, ensuring relevance, dignity, and long-term impact.
We take an intersectional approach, recognising that race, gender, migration status, class, disability, and other identities intersect to shape people’s experiences. Our work addresses these layered inequalities.
We prioritise spaces for healing, rest, and resilience. This supports long-term mental, physical, cultural, and emotional wellbeing for Black women across Scotland.
The challenges faced by Black women cannot be addressed alone. We build strong partnerships with statutory agencies, community organisations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, employers, and policymakers to deliver coordinated, holistic support.
Values shape change. Change shapes futures.
